Painting a model in an hour and a half or so with a worn out brush while drinking and chatting with friends is an experience I actually recommend. ^^
Just take a look at the shape of the brush before and after, 98% of my painting time was actually used trying to make a point or an edge with the bristle.
That's definitely something to keep in mind in case of ambitious projects in the future.
Those constraints have taught me some pretty useful shortcuts I'll put to good use (I I manage to remember them).
